Last week in a mentoring session, I was speaking with a business leader who was hesitant about AI.

He said: "Yesim, everything is around AI, but honestly, I am not sure it is for us. We are not a big company. I don't want to replace people. And what if it creates risks?"

It is a conversation I have been having more and more with leaders, team managers and business owners.

AI Implementation and adoptation in organisations
In organisations, AI implementation is not primarily a technology project, it is a leadership project.

What I notice is that the biggest barrier to AI adoption isn't technology.

It's the myths we believe about it.

‼️"AI will replace my team."...

‼️"AI is only for large companies with huge budgets."...

‼️"I need to understand how AI works before I can use it."...

‼️"It will make our business feel less human."...

As a coach and business mentor, I often support leaders through transformation initiatives, team development and now increasingly, #AIadoption.

⭐ What I observe is that the most successful leaders aren't asking:

"How do I replace people with AI?"

⭐ Instead they're asking:

"How can AI help my people do their best work?"

Because #AIimplementation is not primarily a technology project.

💥It's a leadership project.

It requires clarity, trust, communication, learning and helping teams navigate change together.

I am curious:

❓What's the biggest concern or misconception about AI that you hear in your organisation?
